With the advent of the Land Reform Act and limitation of minimum extent of land holding to fifty acres, absentee Land Lords are prominent in contemporary Sri Lankan Society. Large Plantations were fragmented leading to management problems. Venture Plantations identified a niche in proper plantation management and embarked on a plan to manage properties of varying acreages, farms and animal husbandry.

Proper agricultural inputs, timely Fertilizer applications. E.P.F and other statutory dues will be handled at our head office. Experienced Visiting Agents (retired plantation managers) will visit the properties and give monthly progress reports. Accounts will be made available at the end of each month including a Profit & Loss statement.

This subsidiary comes under the direct supervision of the Chairman, Mr. D.I.de Silva (Fellow of the Ceylon Institute of Planting) and Mr. L.R.S.Perera (Member of the Ceylon Institute of Planting) who have over three decades of Planting Experience behind them.

An agency fee will be charged by the management company on an acreage basis and the management of any type of plantation arranged by Venture Plantations.
Venture Plantations also own a very profitable coconut estate and cattle farm at Gurugoda Estate, Ganewatta.

Gurugoda Estate, Ganewatta :- A Forty Acre Coconut Estate, Fruit Orchard and an ongoing Cattle Farm, fully owned by Venture Group of Companies. Land and Buildings, telephone and Superintendents / Proprietors Bungalows, Workers Quarters all electrified, valued at Rs.20 Million.

Management :- A charge per acre per month basis for management of major plantation crops.

Visiting Agent and Reports :- Undertaken by experienced and qualified officers.

Project Reports :- Undertaken for B.O.I and B.O.I projects and for Bank Evaluation.

Agricultural Reports :-  bring you the actual state of property soil conditions. Minimum application of fertilizer for optimum results.

Crop Diversification and inter plantation :- obtain optimum results on expert advise available.

Animal Husbandry : – Advise available to prospective farm owners.
